Today, a group of 40 Year 8 students took part in a workshop with a User Experience (UX) designer. They had the opportunity to learn what a typical day in the role looks like, while also putting their skills into practice. This included interviewing each other, as well as planning, designing, and testing a mobile phone app based on the theme of ‘Time Travel’.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated strong collaborative and creative thinking skills, alongside their developing digital capabilities.
We are extremely grateful to Steve from Cambridge Press, who has kindly given his time for the third year running to deliver this workshop. Our students gained invaluable knowledge and experiences that we will continue to build on in class.
All of the students involved were a credit to the school. Steve commented on how fantastic they were, and he is already looking forward to returning next year!
