On Monday the U16 Girls football team faced Leyland St Marys in the South Ribble Cup final. It was a fantastic game of football and both sides battled for the cup. The girls were losing 0-1 by half-time but came back fighting in the second half. With two goals from Aimee M, she brought us back into the game! Leyland levelled the score in the last few minutes of the game to take it to penalties. Penalties were taken and all score by Lostock resulting in us winning the cup!

Despite having a team of 9 players for an 11-a-side game, which included some of our year 9 girls stepping up, they all worked as a team and never gave up. It was also lovely to have some of our year 11 students back for one last game! A huge well done to all the girls involved and all of our girls teams this year. You have all played some amazing football and we look forward to the new season ahead in September.
